Bored In Class

This is what I do while I'm sitting at my desk, listening to another lecture on hominids, Pre-Colombian culture, fossil striations, or World War I poetry. It's a strange, eclectic mix of information swirling around me head, and this is what I crap out:

I think "affluent white male" has more of an edge to it. And that's what I originally said anyway.
Change it! You'll get all the post-racial responsepoon you'd ever want.

@jasper: bleh... i wanted to be gender-neutral in the card (and i forgot what you originally said). it's still pretty offensive like this though, i think. right?

Okay...way to go.

At least you're being productive.

It's "Woman with a Big Ass" Saying "Big-Assed Woman" implies that she is obese. Sorry, I put way too much thought into that:-) Also, don't worry about being too PC with the first card. To me, "post-racial" only means ignoring the large "Pink Elephant" in the room. It's a beautiful ideal that I'd like to see in my lifetime. If not, maybe in my sons'.(Sorry, PC is messing up on me, signed in with the wrong SN ;-)

@lex: is that a sigh of false enthusiasm i detect in your ellipses there?

@funky: actually, i heard the "woman with a big ass" vs "big ass woman" from that movie, barbershop. at the time, i thought it was the funniest thing ever - still do actually - but mostly i like the either/or aspect of it.

pink elephant in the room? i thought it was the angry stepchild locked in the basement downstairs? ;)

Better still, the crazy non- English-Speaking Babcia locked in the attic. My MIL comes to mind;-)
