Sorry for my mini-disappearance. I've been reading the latest addition to The Dresden Files, by Jim Butcher. The book is called, Turn coat, and continues to draw me further and further into the vise-like-grip of trashy fantasy novels cheaper than reality TV.

Ya'll don't have to be the biggest nerd on the planet to enjoy this kind of writing. Hard-boiled, fast-paced, easy, and most of all, entertaining. JB writes like Dan Brown, only better. He doesn't pull facts out of his ass, and definitely has better plot-lines.

This is the 11th book in the series, and it seems like all genre-fiction has a quirk for making this the stage when things start getting interesting. Seriously, from the first page the action has already started. In fact, I'd be hard-pressed to find a book, author, or series that has the same pace as this one. It's almost like watching a movie or television show.

To summarize: if you like fantasy, noir, action, romance, and betrayal, then you'll love this series, and most of all this, the newest installment.

Geek, out.

Don't feel bad Zek! There is nothing wrong with reading gutter, trashy, imbecilic, 'literature'. Sometimes one needs a break. Besides which, your characterization of this is tame compared to some of the garbage I have read! For instance, I love 'bodice rippers', what with the men with their mighty swords and lances and some dumb broad caterwauling constantly. Don't even go there with the goofy fantasy tomes. How about those shitty science fiction movies from the fifties? That's another post you may consider! I was always curious about this series, thanks for the review!

Thanks & you're welcome! I'm sure there are FAR more trashy pieces of literature out there, but the sci-fi movies from the fifties are TERRIBLE! Haha, I can barely stand to watch them.

I might consider posting about them, however it'd just be a post of derision ; )
